London-based design and innovation company Seymourpowell has gone right into the future with their lighter-than-air vehicle concept. Harnessing solar power with a primary hydrogen fuel cell drive, the Aircruise can cruise at around 90mph, leaving no carbon footprint behind. People from London to New York will travel 37 hours or from Los Angeles to Shanghai in under four days in utmost luxury. Equipped with four duplex apartments and five smaller apartments together with penthouse apartment and bar/lounge/communal zones, the Aircruise can also drop down within a few hundred feet of the ground while en route. And four external envelopes integrate modular self-sealing lifting bags to ensure a safe flight, even with a major external skin tear. Amalgamating the feel of a fine hotel with absolute freedom of flight, the Aircruise redefines the future of the high-end travel. Whenever this concept meets reality, this for sure is going to be nominated for the most significant technological innovation.
