LED Galaxy Dress – Wearable Display

London designers cutecircuit has developed the world’s largest portable display. With 24,000 2 × 2 mm full-colored LEDs in layers of embroidered organza Crinoline and silk chiffon, dress shimmer and flash as one walks. Number of smaller batteries is disguised in the dress, which allows the user 30 to 60 minutes of ignition. The prototype dress is currently on permanent display at Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, but do not be surprised if similar models from Cute Circuit ends on next season’s runway.
