Dutch designer David Graas work is best characterized by its combination of humor and material
experiments. His works often reinvent common materials like cardboard so evident in his series
cardboard furniture. The cardboard display includes a lounge, coffee table and dining table that simple slide
together like a jigsaw puzzle.

Come flat packed designs allows them to be shipped more easily and keep
cost low by having the user gather them. Graas also developed a children’s version, which gives children
ability to assemble their own furniture, learning in the process. Graas also has a sense of humor,
transforming a typical Dutch house in a ceramic vase for the nation’s flower, the Tulip. He is also skilled
less than found objects and revive them with a new purpose, as in his’ lamp formerly known
the trombone.
